While Anna Maria Island itself is home to three distinct cities – the City of Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach – there isn't a single "Anna Maria Beach" that refers to the entire island's coastline. However, the term often refers to the beaches in the City of Anna Maria, located at the northernmost tip of the island. These beaches are known for their quieter, more natural atmosphere compared to some of the busier public beaches further south. With no large resorts or high-rise condos, they offer a classic "Old Florida" feel, characterized by soft white sand, gentle Gulf waters, and stunning sunset views. Visitors can access these serene stretches of sand via public pathways at the west ends of residential streets, making it a perfect spot for peaceful relaxation, shelling, and dolphin watching.
